Christopher R. Bucio
Experienced Criminal Defense Attorney
Christopher (“Chris”) Bucio is a criminal defense attorney specializing in criminal defense and “crimmigration” law. He represents individuals and businesses facing state and federal charges, bringing extensive courtroom experience and a strong commitment to guiding clients through complex legal matters. Chris earned his bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and graduated from the University of Cincinnati College of Law in 2003. He began his career at the Miami County Public Defender’s Office before founding his own firm in 2021.
Rafael A. Villegas
Rafael A. Villegas is a criminal defense attorney focusing on OVI/DUI cases, drug offenses, and violent crimes, traveling across Ohio to provide effective legal representation. He gained early experience working alongside Christopher Bucio and has developed strong trial skills. A bilingual attorney, Rafael communicates clearly with both English- and Spanish-speaking clients. He earned his law degree from the University of Dayton School of Law and was admitted to the Ohio Bar in 2021.

Zoe will be studying law in hopes of becoming a criminal defense attorney.

Niki is also a key support for staff communication, helping team members stay aligned, informed, and organized. Her leadership, reliability, and ability to keep every moving part on track make her the backbone of the office.

Marissa is a dedicated paralegal who focuses extensively on CPS-related matters, particularly for clients dealing with both criminal charges and child protective involvement. She is deeply committed to helping families, offering steady support, clear guidance, and unwavering compassion as they navigate the difficult steps required to reunify with their children. Marissa works closely with parents to help them understand the CPS process, prepare for hearings, and move forward with confidence, especially for those who deserve the chance to bring their kids home.
In addition to her CPS work, Marissa contributes to legal research and writing, crafting well-organized, thorough materials that strengthen case strategy. She is also actively studying to practice law, bringing growing legal knowledge and dedication to her role. Marissa’s compassion, commitment, and determination make her an invaluable member of the team.
Marrisa is also studying to practice family law in hopes of becoming a domestic relations attorney, where she will focus on adoptions, custody disputes, divorces, and other family law-related matters.
