After playing college basketball and obtaining his bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice he went on to attend law school on full scholarship at the University of Cincinnati College of Law, graduating in 2003. Upon graduation, Chris landed at the Miami County Public Defender's Office where he garnered countless hours of courtroom experience and consistently handled the most felonies in the area. Eventually, Chris transitioned from the public service and in 2007 joined forces with two other lawyers to begin his quest to proudly serve and protect those accused of wrongdoing by the criminal justice system.
In 2021, Mr. Christopher Bucio began his own law firm, Christopher Bucio Attorney at Law, in Urbana Ohio, bringing Mr. Rafael Villegas along with him. Mr. Bucio has now expanded to five other office locations in Bellefontaine, Dayton, Lima, Sidney, and Wapakoneta, allowing him to be more available in the surrounding counties.

Rafael A. Villegas
Rafael Villegas exclusively practices in the areas of Criminal Defense and Crimmigration. Additionally, Rafael practice focuses heavily on defending OVI/DUI matters, Drug Cases and Violent Crimes.
Mr. Villegas is a first generation born Mexican-American whose parents immigrated to the United States from Mexico and became naturalized citizens. While attending the University of Dayton School of Law, Rafael clerked and was ultimately hired as a law associate with Bradley & Associates working directly with regionally recognized criminal defense attorney Christopher Bucio. Mr. Villegas then was hired as an attorney for Mr. Christopher Bucio at Christopher Bucio Attorney at Law. While working at the Bucio Firm, Rafael has amassed extensive trial experience, and succeeding obtaining not guilty verdicts for each of his clients. Mr. Rafael Villegas does not exclusively practice in one area, but instead travels the entire state of Ohio to help defend those wrongfully accused.
Rafael is dedicated to providing our clients with the best representation possible. Being bilingual, Rafael provides flawless bilingual communication and understanding.
